When cleaning your fireplace, you should prepare the tools you need before you start.

Some Of The Tools You Need

• Safety goggles and dust respirator mask
• Newspaper and large towel to prevent staining the rug or carpeting
• Short brush or stiff bristle brush
• Vacuum cleaner
• Metal container with lid

If you want want also to clean your chimney, you should leave it to the professional because it is very hard to do it yourself.It is very important to do that first though. that way clean up will only take place once.

Instruction For Cleaning Your Fireplace

• Using short or chimney brush, clean the floor with strong strokes using stiff bristle brush, scrap the outside of the fireplace damper and its build up free.
• Remove ashes from the fireplace hot areas and place them in metal container.
• Vacuum the surrounding thoroughly making sure to remove all flammable objects as you go .Just in case if anything hot in there.
• Remove any soot which has settled or hardened on the fireplace can be cleaned with bleach, water and De-greaser.

If you use the fireplace four or five times a year, you will need to clean it at least once a year. If you follow the instruction described above and do them once a year, your fireplace will stay clean all year around.you will not have to worry about it getting dusty or dirty anymore.
